An older house in Lancaster City means fewer outlets in rooms compared to modern homes! We have replaced every outlet receptacle with a new 15A outlet for fire safety reasons. We added 22 outlets throughout the house in common rooms and bedrooms, four Lutron smart switches, multiple 3-way switches, and a few wall plate pass-throughs to hide television cables.

In addition, we installed an Echobee3 Lite Wi-Fi smart thermostat, designed elements with lighting in common rooms and the artist residency, and grounded the house with two 8-foot grounding rods.

Our next electrical project is updating exterior lighting and adding a ceiling fan and outlets to porches and balconies.
